Access control to health centres

Solution realized in a residence for mentally-handicapped people in Pamplona, where has been used 192 on-line proximity terminals for access control through communications board Kimaldi Ndcan v2 and proximity reader Kimaldi RD125K

The communication system provides all the components to create a network of readers ( up to 1, 016 ), its management is very easy using simple commands ( ASCII or Windows OCX ). Stand-alone working mode: when a card is read, the code is verfied if it is an authorized code and if so the relay is activated.

It has been used proximity readers 125 kHz, with a read range from 7 to 10 centimetres. They are the best solution for integration: small size, configuration, and different encapsulated and interface

Its main benefit lies in the access of the health centre’ s staff to different areas and to manage the control of the patients. They only can get in and out of their rooms by the cards and proximity readers, which are connected by Bus Can to the PC at the control room
