- ROOMS, APARTMENTS AND RESTRICTED AREAS ACCESS CONTROL

The geriatric hospital has rooms for the residents, apartments and restricted areas, for the staff and management, as well as shared areas. Only authorized people are allowed to entrance, so it’s necessary an access control. This system must be integrated with the control center and with a visual camera control, to manage temperature and lighting.

They use biometric technology for fingerprint recognition to identify people and implement the access control. A friendly use, reliability and security were the reasons why they decided to use biometric technology.

Operation mode:
1.- Residents, regular visitors and staff are enrolled in reception. The check-in is made by capturing digital fingerprints and additional information. They used Nitgen’s FDU01 a fingerprint recognition module retaining the function of USB interface.

2.- Fingerprints are sent on-line to every device that control different access points. They have off-line functionality, so there is no need of any on-line connectivity between control center and the access. They used Biometric Terminal Kimaldi KBio Offline.

3.- Identification and access control. Before to accede, the person places the finger over the biometric reader. This presence activates the reading and the identification process. If the identification came out positive, the access is allowed by a led. Moreover, all the access logs are stored and they can be unload at any time.

As you can see the photos, biometric readers and terminal Kimaldi KBio Offline are hidden and protected. They get a high finish and the devices are integrated with the center’s aesthetic.
