Timesharing office management system

Timesharing office management system, where the user is identified by an active tag. It’s very handy and safe for access control, hourly control and Time&Attendance, as well as for resources management.

This application has been developed by one of our Portuguese distributors, in a business center where executives share the time they use the same office and resources. Renting costs ( building, communications and computer programmes ) are divided between the different users.

This kind of center is open 24/7, so it requires an accurate system to guarantee:
- Only authorized users, clients, can access to the office
- Users can access just when they have booked hours.
- To detect users at different areas of the building
- To manage the computer programmes by the users.

Active radiofrequency identification technology presented by Kimaldi Electronics can manage all the issues described, and do it easy and safely for the users.

Every user has an active tag, small device that broadcast a 2.45 GHz signal. This signal is read by and active RFID tag, at every access or area where an access control system is required. Active RFID tags are connected to the server by IP, RS-232, RS-485 or Wiegan connectivity, and send in real time the reading of all the tags. Moreover, these readers can store the generated events

Active tags are used for:
- To detect clients’ presence
- To manage entrance and exit
- To generate a register for the presence and access control
- Access to computer systems
- There is a complementary system based on keyboard where the users can introduce a code. The system needs to detect the tag and check the code to allow the access.

The application is managed by a software developed by our distributor:
- Time&Attendance system: overtime, shifts, holidays, invoice register and so
- Access Control: rules and rights for every customer, employee and solicitors
- Login control to computer resources: every user can change his personal identification number (PIN) and open remotely the door. This is a very ergonomic usefulness

Active RFID system can be used to track patients, doctor and expensive equipment in hospitals in real time. It can also provide an electronic link for wirelessly communicating patient data. As soon as a tag comes near an exit, an alarm occurs showing the specific tag. As well, can reduce the time and cost for counting stock as it enters the warehouse by collecting the data automatically and virtually eliminating the need for manual intervention. It can easily be used to supersede all clocking in/out systems. It provides an accurate account of when staff are in attendance together with their start and finish times. There is no need for time consuming signing in sheets, logging on regimes or their associated systems.
