Hygienic solution for staff identification. Facial 3D recognition it’s ideal for hospitals, pharmaceutics, chemistry labs, operating rooms, so it doesn’t need contact between terminal and user.
There’re environments and applications in which hygiene it’s highly important, for example it’s the case of hospitals, operating rooms, pharmaceutical companies or food manipulation centres. Staff Access control and time&attendance control has to be coherent with the hygienic measures and most of the times its against security, so fingerprint biometrics it’s a problem.
With facial 3D biometric identification the user is recognized in a reliable and safety way with no possibility of identity supplanting, and also any kind of contact between user and terminal, so this biometric security is completely compatible with hygienic requirements. It doesn’t matter if user wears latex gloves so the terminal identifies its face.
During situations of health crisis, like H1N1 influenza or any other kind of virus, these precautionary hygienic measures to minimize contact are very important.
In Facial 3D recognition the terminal uses two cameras, one in the visible spectrum and the other in the infrared one, to create a biometric 3D pattern. This is much more secure than simple facial recognition or 2D so the system can’t be lied with a photo or picture.
It’s also possible to install standalone equipments, with no connection to any software and downloading events by a USB pen, so its installation can be done easily and fast.
Through biometric terminals and the specific application for access control to hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories and operating rooms, there’s an optimum time&attendance control and worked hour control, even access control to restricted zones.
