Active RFID readers for mobile devices offer a wide range of applications and solutions

Active RFID readers for mobile environments offer a wide range of applications and solutions. This solution allows to connect the reader to a mobile device and periodically read active RFID tags inside range area.

Read range up to 10 meters, so active RFID tags can be monitorized inside an area about 300 square meters around the mobile reader.

RFID tags from Syris offer a wide range of formats, so you can apply for many applications like:

- PUPILS CONTROL
During an excursion or an outing, a pupil can take the wrong route and get lost. To avoid this, teachers and instructors can use a PDA connected to an active RFID tag. This reader read the signal broadcasted by the tag that is wore by the pupil. When an absence is detected, the teacher or instructor is informed.

- LUGGAGE CONTROL
If you want to control the luggage, just need to put an active RFID tag to every piece of luggage and to connect the active RFID reader to a PDA. An alarm is activated when any piece of luggage is not detected, therefore you know where your luggage is at any time.
This solution is very useful on a private level to track any other valuable assets or stock. As well for tourist and travel agencies, that are in the charge of the luggage from their customers.
- PATROLS CONTROL
There’s an active RFID tag at every control point that broadcasts periodically, when the guard is placed inside read range. So you can draw the route and to check the guard has done the round correctly
