Médicos Sin Fronteras (MSF): Since its foundation in 1971, Médicos Sin Fronteras has accumulate a valuable experience through its continued working in armed conflict, refugee camps, forgotten diseases and emergencies like natural catastrophes or epidemics.

- Cambodia: The improvements in sanitary services and the Government commitment of fight the HIV/AIDS have allowed to widen the antiretroviral treatment (ARV) in Cambodia. Due to these improvements, MSF has begun to transfer some of its projects. Currently, MSF offers HID/AIDS attention in four locations and have 8.000 patients in ARV treatment, a 30% of the country. MSF acts in Cambodia since 1989.

- Morocco: MSF takes care of the sub-Saharan immigrants in Morocco since 2003 with preventive health, healing and improvement of life conditions programs for the people who live in rural zones. This medical care tasks are carried out in collaborations with the Moroccan public health services, where there’s a commitment of the Moroccan professional health to assist immigrants. Since 2007, following the mobility of the immigrants and asking to the growing needs in the urban zones, MSF has begun to work in Rabat and Casablanca, where the most of the immigrants are assembled and where there’s a politic intention of the Public Health Ministery to facilitate the access to health services.

Kimaldi incorporates to its wide access control and identification list the RFID digital cylinder locks. The manufacturer WaferLock has signed an agreement with Kimaldi for its RFID access control solutions distribution.

Digital cylinder locks WaferLock replaces the traditional cylinder of a lock and enables the electronic access control by card: more secure, making easy the door management and with a very effective cost. Besides, the installation is very simple and don’t need any wiring or connection.

WaferLock has three solutions to adapt to different environments, from the domestic environment or residential to the hotel environment, for the access control to the rooms, besides the access control to offices or companies’ CPD. For all these solutions there’s a common denominator: the security improvement, easier control of keys, cost efficiency and very easy installation.

For the residential or domestic environment, where there’s no centralized access control needed, the best solution is WCL-7100 family. This RFID cylinders family is a 100% standalone solution. It works similarly to the mechanical keys but, in this case, the key to open the door is a card, key ring or proximity band. The same key is able to open all the doors where it’s registered and a cylinder can admit up to 100 keys. Using Mifare’s UID the solution becomes anti-forgery and also is compatible with DESfire, Legic Advant, and also there’s a version for proximity cards EM4102.

For the hotel environment, the management of room doors have to be centralized in a PC, where is localized the guest list and their check-in and check out dates. The WCL-7300 family has, besides the RFID cylinder locks, centralized management software (HPMS) and a card desktop programmer. Cards, programmed easily with the software and desktop programmer, act as a bridge between RFID cylinder locks and the software, so it’s an offline Mifare virtual network solution. The card is assigned to the customer in order to get into the room. When the customer approaches the card to the RFID cylinder lock, automatically the lock gets uploaded with his data. Besides, the access registering data can be gathered from the lock with the card, so makes easier the maintenance staff management.

For the office or data protection centres (CPD),the WCL-7000 family is the solution. In this case the user mobility is lower than in hotels and the users’ number for each door can be much higher. Besides, is necessary to have software to centralize and manage user database and access register. This solution has the RFID cylinder locks, the CPMS software for the centralized management, and also a mobile programmer. Through the mobile programmer the access permissions and timetables of each user’s card are assigned to each one of the doors to which the users will have access. This programmer is also useful to get the access registering, if it’s necessary.

Three Solutions admit different cylinder sizes, from 60mm to 120mm, even in asymmetrical sizes for reinforced and fireproof doors. There’re also available some software development APIs for the system integration into an access control or time&attendance control existing solution.

Among the digital cylinder locks for door products, Kimaldi also has biometric NDL Nitgen locks. Nitgen is a strategic technological partner of Kimaldi for biometric solutions.
