Kimaldi FingerVein terminal is one of the access control and time&attendance control biometrical equipments globally most complete and advanced. Advanced biometric technology is combined with highest features and numerous functionalities.

Kimaldi FingerVein uses Hitachi’s vein biometric technology, worldwide reference and applied by several financial entities. Biometric finger vein pattern is an internal characteristic so is very tolerant to eroding or dirty on finger, besides it’s impossible to forgery. It’s ideal for high security environments.

Fully compatible with print reading done with the USB desktop finger vein reader .

Technology :
Finger vein pattern is a unique and untransferable and no changing individual characteristic. To activate vein pattern reading just need to place the finger on the infrared led reader, which shines through the finger and create an image of vein pattern. This image is digitalized and stored, and it’s associated to a user and its access rights, to be used in access control and time&attendance control.

Access control and time&attendance control biometric vein terminal Kimaldi FingerVein uses a small sized reader, with a biometric pattern of 500 bytes approximately, sufficiently small to support a fast processing and sufficiently complete to support 1:1 and 1:N identification.

Kimaldi FingerVein biometric vein terminal has high accuracy in its readings, so it has lower error rate:

FRR (False rejection Rate) less than 0,01%
FAR (False Acceptance Rate) less than 0,0001%
FTE (Failure to Enrol) 0,03%

The independent organism of reference “International Biometric Group”, which periodically compares features of biometric systems, shows in its Round 6 Public Report that FingerVein vascular biometric technology has FRR, FAR and FTE lowest rates from all vein systems of the market, even better than Iris biometrics.
