RFID access control to get in a public sport facility by using a Citizen Card.
This Project is carried out for the Court House of a city that needs to manage the access control to its public sport facilities through the citizen card, specifically the access control to a fronton, even though later it’s planned to add more sport facilities.
Neighbours who want to accede to the fronton are registered in the Court House data base as public sport facilities users.
After taking their data an RFID Citizen Card, which includes a radiofrequency reading system, is given to them which will allow the access to all the installations the Court House wants to be used through this system.
Neighbours registered can use the time reservation by telephone or internet, through an specific managing software for the installations.
There’s an online access control device to read citizen card. This device activates access control and open gates only when registered citizen cards are approached, and its users have done the reservation.
RFID ACCESS CONTROL, GATE OPENING, LIGHTIN USE AND OTHER SERVICES
When the citizen card is approached to the Mifare proximity reader installed in the access control gate of the sport facility, the number of the citizen card is sent to the local network server. The server reads the citizen card number and its data from the data base where the reservations are stored. If the citizen card number is associated with a reservation register, and it is in the time table schedule, the service asks the reader to activate the access control relay which allows gate opening.
The service stores in its internal memory time consumed. When the ending of the reservation it’s near, the service shows the reader must activate another relay to provoke the alarm activation and warn users they turn it’s almost over.
When there’s someone that needs lights, the automatic switch on of the sport facility is activated by another relay. At the end of the day, in established hours or when a reservation is over, lights are switched off, although it can be switch on or switch off manually.
The service stores in the database all accesses of the last 6 months to all installations.
At the end of the month, with reservation data, files will be created to charge the users renting of the installations, besides making statistics of its use to see which and when the installations are more used.
Access control solution to public sport facilities based on Citizen Card establishes different managing options. Its flexibility allows applying different prices to specific users or users groups, date prices, to limit or block the installations use in specific days, etc. So, the solution allows applying exceptions and special treatments depending on the parameters needed.
PUBLIC RESERVATION WEB SITE
It’s about a web site for the public sport facilities managing reservation. Access to reservation pages is limited, so the user can access by validation form which asks user name and password.
- Reservation page: it shows a calendar with all days can be selected depending on its availability. Once the user has chosen the day, must select time reservation between the available ones.
- Proof of reservation page: Once the reservation is done, data are shown and the user can print them as a proof of reservation.
- Reservation list page: Shows all reservations the user has done. It can be modified or cancelled.
With this access control system to public sport facilities by using the citizen card, and its managing reservation, public installations managing task and its access control is more reliable, easy and safety for all agents involved.
