Biometrical access control to a restaurant’s hall of residence

Fingerprint access control to the students whose pay the hall of residence’s dinner service

Our distributor wants to develop a solution for the biometrical access control to a restaurant’s hall of residence where already 500 persons get every day.

The goal is to assure a place in the restaurant to those students whose have paid the service dinner, for them is foreseen a biometrical access through the fingerprint access control to the restaurant. Besides it gets a high agility in the flow of persons, avoiding queues and unnecessary waits.

On the other side, there are students who access to the restaurant in a sporadic way, not every day, or even external persons who don’t study at the university but wants to dinner at the restaurant. For those customers is planned an access control through payment in cash register which generates a code bar ticket, then the customer puts the ticket in a code bar reader placed in the access gate to get to the restaurant.

Finally, both biometrical access control and code bar reader solution, allows a tidily access to the restaurant.

Versatility of the products been used in this access control solution is total and have allowed to our distributor to provide different solutions for the same place, depending on the distinctive feature of each user.

ACCESS CONTROL TO THE RESTAURANT

• The students who have decided to contract the residence’s dinner service will register their fingerprint. In order to this, our distributor has used the fingerprint reader Hamster. Next, the fingerprint will form part of the database and when the student gets into the restaurant only will have to place his/her fingerprint onto the biometric reader, which will sent it to the database. There will be contrasted giving the answer according to the case.

• Those who are external to the residence or the students that don’t have contracted the dinner service must buy a code bar ticket. The user must put the ticket onto the access gate, which have a code reader integrated. The reader will give access to the restaurant.

With this reliable and adaptable solution our distributor succeeds with a biometrical access control wholly safe and untransferable, and on the other hand, a less safe control but associated to a previous payment, which assures the entrance to those who aren’t students but customers.

The fingerprint recognition moduleBioMax2 used in this access control solution assures a high speed in the fingerprint reading, giving agility and continuity in the access to the restaurant.
