In printing, HID FARGO relies on two main approaches: Direct-to-Card (DTC™), which prints directly onto the card, and retransfer, which prints the image onto a film and then transfers it to the card. HID calls its retransfer HDP® (High Definition Printing) and targets it in scenarios requiring maximum visual quality, good performance on boards with electronics, and “over-the-edge” coverage.
