The Fargo INK1000 printer uses inkjet card printing technology. When printing with this technology, the ink adheres to any type of PVC and composite card, eliminating printing ribbons and the need for specialized cards. The inherent UV stability of the ink makes images and text fade-resistant compared to DTC (Direct-to-Card) printed cards.
Cards printed with INK1000 have no white edges, the printing is edge-to-edge. edge-to-edge covering the entire card with the selected design.
Thanks to the card’s high resolution of 600 dpi x 1200 dpi, images are sharp and bright. Text and barcodes are sharp for optimal readability.
The ink cartridges are easy to install in the printer and contain specially formulated inks that adhere to PVC cards.
A single ink cartridge includes three colors: yellow, magenta and cyan (YMC). These three colors make up the black color that can be used to print barcodes and are scannable.
The INK1000 printer does not require special cards. The ink printer prints on any type of conventional card, from standard PVC material to composite cards.
