13.56MHz MIFARE® proximity card reader for reading and writing MIFARE® cards. Communication with the host can be via RS-232, USB or TTL, depending on the model.

The proximity card reader provides a high level of flexibility both in terms of finishes and operation, thus allowing greater integration in different environments and in other electronic terminals.

Operation

The KRD13Mv2 proximity card reader provides two modes of operation:

• Online operation: Controlled in real time by the PC. Where communication is established between the host and the card through the MIFARE® proximity reader (command-controlled mode).
• Automatic operation: The reader is configured to autonomously manage communication with the MIFARE® card or tag. Two variants are available:
  • UID reading mode. Data is transmitted via the RS-232 interface or via Clock&Data when the card is brought near.
  • Data reading mode. The proximity reader performs a login operation, followed by an autonomous reading of the card block.

Integration

Thanks to its multiple finishes and small dimensions (it fits in an electrical box), the KRD13Mv2 proximity card reader is an easy-to-integrate device for any type of environment:

• Integration finish (OEM): Very easy to integrate, fits in an electrical box. RS-232 or TTL connection.
• USB Desktop Finish: Desktop MIFARE® proximity reader, very easy to connect thanks to the USB cable. Supports Windows 7 OS
• RS-232 serial desktop finish: with RS-232 connection.
• RS-232 Wall Finish: wall-mounted with RS-232 connection.

The different finishes include relay, leds, beeper or terminal depending on the model required.
