Ultra Electronics Card Systems, responsible for the manufacture of Magicard ID printers, is part of the Information and Electrical Systems division.
Card Systems has been designing and manufacturing Magicard ID secure printers since 1993 and its reputation has been recognised worldwide.
Magicard is used in a wide variety of ID printing and access control applications and includes innovative HoloKote® anti-copying technology. Through this technology, a transparent watermark is printed over the entire surface of the card for increased security.
HoloKote® technology can be combined with HoloPatch. This is another technology that adds security to the printing of the card by means of a gold mark on the top right-hand side of the card, on which is inscribed the HoloKote watermark of your choice, or the standard one, depending on the characteristics of the Magicard printer that prints the card.
These features add to the security of the cards by preventing copying and counterfeiting.
Finally, Magicard printers provide other types of security, such as the CustomKey, which is the ability to customise the watermark and make the cards more personalised, making them even more difficult to counterfeit.
The OverLaminate, which allows the card protection layer to be customised, or the PrinterLock, a system that restricts the use of the printer to authorised persons only, thus preventing misuse of the machine.
HoloKote® has been developed and patented by Ultra Electronics and is a very important differentiating feature of Magicard in the ID printer market.
