At the venue they must check any person’s data, to verify for example if someone is a minor or if someone is on the access restriction list to gambling houses.
Whenever customers get into a gambling hall, they must show an ID card since these types of cards contain an MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) section from where you can retrieve personal information such as:
- The type of document: National ID, Passport, Driving License(s)
- The clients’ full name to check if they are in the list of prohibited access
- The clients’ date of birth to verify they are adults.
- ID number
- Nationality
- Sex
Any MRZ scanner can read the information recorded in a document, but unless there is an RFID or a contact chip reader as well, you cannot guarantee the authenticity of that document.
