Long-stay car parks for caravans or other vehicles (trailers, motorhomes, boats) need to be guarded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A Kimaldi distributor has developed an access control application for a caravan park to ensure that access is monitored and that only the owners of the parked caravans and car park workers can enter the site.
The solution consists of installing a Suprema Xpass 2 GangBox Type reader at the entrance gate. Before arriving at the car park, customers receive an email:
- a personal and limited security code depending on the day of collection and the time zone.
- an ID: a unique identifier per user.
Once the user has been double-checked at the Xpass 2 reader located at the entrance to the car park, the security gate opens and the customer can access the facilities to drop off or pick up their vehicle.
The terminal is connected to the BioStar 2 access control software on a virtual server and via the BioStar 2 Mobile service. The car park administrators manage the system remotely and can monitor in real time: user registrations/deletions and their credentials, door control, remote opening.
The installation has a photocell and a sensor on the door to check the status of the door at all times, so that the system itself alerts the administrator if the door is blocked.
